Wednesday, May 8, 2013    NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE ISLIP FIRE DISTRICT ON JUNE 18, 2013

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board of Fire commis- sioners of the Islip Fire dis- trict, in the Town of Islip, County of Suffolk, State of New York, on May 8, 2013, a Special Election of the qualified voters of said Fire District will be held at the Islip Firehouse located at 28 Monell Avenue, Islip, New York on June 18, 2013, between the hours of 3:00 PM and 9:00PM (prevailing time) or as much longer as may be necessary to enable the voters then present to cast their votes upon the following Proposition:

PROPOSITION SHALL the resolution of the Islip Fire District adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of said District on May 8, 2013, which resolution provides for purchasing, outfitting and equipping one (1) new 32’ Fire/Rescue Boat, and providing that the cost of such item shall not exceed $700,000.00, to be paid for by the borrowing of a sum not to exceed $700,000 by way of an installment sales agreement for a term of up to ten (10) years for the purpose of and providing forthelevyofataxtobe collected to pay the prin- cipal and interest on said borrowing, such principal and interest to be excluded from the statutory spend- ing limitation of said Dis- trict BE APPROVED?

All residents of the Fire District duly registerd with the Suffolk County Board of Elections as of May 28, 2013 shall be eligible to vote.
