Engine Co. One of the Islip Fire Department hosted a community fund raiser for the family of Rob Weidmann on Saturday, January 14, 2012. The event included three venues, two with live music and one with a DJ. The event was a major success packing out the three venues with members from the FDNY, Islip FD, East Islip FD, Baldwin FD, Brentwood FD, Islip Terrace FD, Central Islip FD, Bay Shore FD and many other Fire Departments. We also had a strong showing from the Islip Community as well. Our totals from the night exceeded our expectations. We would like to thank the following business's for their never ending support. Lily Flanagan's, Maxwell's, Port Royal, and Staples. We'd also like to thank Souls on Board for an incredible performance at Lily Flanagan's, the incredibly talented J. Haus for his great performance at Maxwell's and DJ Chris Murphy for providing the sound at the Port Royal Grille. A very special thanks goes out to Joe Ferrari of the Islip Fire Dept. and a member of Souls on Board for dreaming this up in a hurry. A great time for an even better cause. Thank You All, Engine Company One.
