Hello, I just wanted to thank you for the super website. My great-grandfather, William Albertini (a) was a past chief. In addition, my great-uncle Herbert Albertina was a past chief. My great-grandfather Arthur Kahler was a member. Thank you for the site, Jeff Kahler
At around 12:15am i witnessed a car fire when it first started. The QUICK response of the Islip Fire Department gave me a sure feeling of security. As a mother of two babies i was happy to know that i can count on all of the hard working firefighters in the Islip Department. Thank you.

Dear ISLIP Fire Dept, My friend Kim and I enjoyed meeting you all this weekend. Observing your bonds of brotherhood was truly an unforgettable experience. I would like to extend a special thank you to a great guy, Capt. George Klub, who took the time to explain his life, the unit\'s responsibilities, recent events and accomplishments. Geographical distant aside, we very much honor and respect what you do. Thank you all very much for the unforgettable and hilarious entertainment you provided during your weekend trip. We only wished we had made arrangements to get a group photo with you to show the folks here who you are.(Perhaps a donation to the unit might get an autographed photo with your engine!) Also, thanks to Capt.Pizzo who proudly described his work (And giving us a lot to think about.) Thanks for the inspiration! The people of Long Island are so very lucky to have you! With highest regard,Jen,RN and Kim H.PS. Please also extend a special thank you to a NY firefighter Chris traveling with you (but from another city in the state). His expressions of kindness and friendship humbled us and bestowed upon us a deeper appreciation of what sacrifices you make.

Thanks for the interesting historical information. My great grandfather, Fred G. Schlemmer, was a member of the first brigade and served Enging Co. No. 2 for at least 56 years (per a commemorative badge in the family). I would certainly be interested if anyone has any historic photos of the Company ranging 1880 to 1936!
