The mission of the Islip Fire District is to provide emergency services designed to protect the lives and property of its residents and businesses, as well as the many visitors and workers who reside in our town on any given day. This is achieved by providing the highest quality of fire protection, fire prevention, and rescue emergency medical services consistently and in a timely and professional manner.

Islip Fire District :
The Islip Fire District is located in the Town of Islip, in central Suffolk County approximately 50 miles east of New York City. Covering a 7.5 square mile response area, the district serves a population of around 17,000 and includes 6,500 private homes 200 commercial businesses four schools, nine garden apartment complexes, one trailer park, six boat yards and covers five miles of shore line along the Great South Bay. It is crossed by two major east/west highways that move more than 125,000 vehicles daily and a commuter and freight rail link.
The district is protected by two fire houses including Headquarters, which is located just south of Main Street on Monell Avenue and Station No. 2, which is located on Commack Road on the north side of town. It is better known as “the North House”. The Headquarters complex, which includes three buildings, houses two Class A pumpers, one City Service ladder truck, one Fire Police unit, one Ambulance and one Heavy Rescue truck. Station two supports two Class A pumpers, one Tower Ladder, one Ambulance and one Fire Police truck.
